While fishes are known to use their fins to glide through the waters, there are one species of fish that uses it for crawling. Yes, you heard it right, the frogfish in the below video clip, that is found off the coast of Indonesia are slow-moving creatures who prefer to use their fins like legs.
These stocky anglerfish have a plump, often brightly coloured, body. The unusual shape and skin texture allow them to blend in with surroundings where they live. The video shows the two fishes taking a stroll on the sea floor and many of us would admit that we’ve never seen fishes moving in this way.
One can agree that these fishes are a fantastic example of evolution.
